The Chase Away Hunger 5K was born out of a desire to extend the love of Christ and show compassion to our local community.
In these difficult financial times, more individuals and families are relying on food pantries and social services just to get by. In the Bible, Jesus equates neglecting the needs of those around us with neglecting him, and we take that very seriously!
The Chase Away Hunger 5K is raising money to benefit the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, the Open Door Mission, and Angelfood Ministries. These organizations are working diligently to make sure that people here in the Southern Tier do not go hungry, and we want to give them our support and share our resources.
100% of the race registration fees and any received donations will go directly to these organizations in equal amounts.
